Paris: Turks and Armenians Commemorate Armenian genocide

On Sunday, April 10, Armenians and Turks from France jointly commemorated the 1915 Armenian Genocide.

The event, organized by the “Biz-Miasin” (Us Together) Collective, took place at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Paris. A statement signed by Collective member Denis Donikian and Michel Atalay, a member of the Greens Party, reads – “We seek to continue the apology campaign launched by four Turkish intellectuals in late 2008 and to build bridges between the civil societies of Armenia and Turkey.”

A highly commendable step towards healing the WOUND that seperates our two neighbors. Fortunately, similar groups are sprouting in various regions of our earth.
