Humanitarian Aid, Fuel Not Reaching Artsakh, Says State Minister
Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan today reported that the shipment of humanitarian aid and fuel to the country via the Lachin Corridor has been “completely disrupted”.
Nersisyan, at a meeting today to discuss Artsakh’s humanitarian crisis, said the recent installation of a checkpoint on the Artsakh-Armenia border (in the Lachin Corridor) by Azerbaijan was the cause.
“Additional restrictions by Azerbaijan have led to the impossibility of importing even the smallest amount of vital goods. As a result, we have not been able to deliver even the volume envisaged by the vouchers within the period specified in them, due to which we will postpone the validity period of the vouchers so that our population can take advantage of this opportunity,” he said.
