ARF Bureau representative Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan and ARF Bureau member Arsen Hambardzumyan yesterday, in Yerevan, hosted a delegation headed by Loucas Fourlas, chairman of the friendship group with Armenia in the European Parliament.

The delegation is in Armenia on a fact-finding mission.  

Fourlas talked about his visit to the border areas of the Syunik province and the start of the Lachin Corridor where Azerbaijan has set up an illegal checkpoint, further intensifying the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.

Ter-Khachaturyan, according to an ARF statement, thanked the Cypriot MEP for his pro-Armenian activities and presented the security situation around Armenia.  

Thoughts were exchanged regarding the effective protection of Armenian interests in the European Union, the organization of joint initiatives soon, and the urgent need to hold discussions on Armenian issues in the European Parliament.
