Artsakh Can Never be Part of Azerbaijan, Says Opposition MP Ohanyan

Armenian MP Seyran Ohanyan, who heads the opposition Hayastan parliamentary faction, during a meeting today with Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Rosenkranz, said that Artsakh can never be part of Azerbaijan and emphasized the role of international partners in resolving the humanitarian crisis in Karabakh.

“The rhetoric of Azerbaijan and the provocations against the sovereign territory of Armenia do not speak about living with peaceful coexistence with the Armenian people announced by that country,” Ohanyan said, adding that today Azerbaijan continues its provocations and pressures and tightens the loop around Artsakh.

Speaking about the security problems of Artsakh Armenians, Ohanyan said the security guarantee can only be achieved by the exercise of the right of the Artsakh people’s self-determination.
