Azerbaijani Gunfire Wounds Two Armenian Soldiers
Azerbaijani troops today violated the ceasefire and fired in the direction of Armenia’s Sotk village (Gegharkunik), wounding two Armenian soldiers.
Today’s incident follows yesterday’s Azerbaijani artillery attack in the same area that wounded four Armenian soldiers.
While Sotk Mayor Aharon Khachatryan says residents aren’t panicking, the recent gunfire has closed the nearby Sotk gold mine for the past ten days. The mine straddles the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
Update: The Armenian Defense Ministry later reported that the two Armenian soldiers were wounded by Azerbaijani combat drones.
