Former Artsakh Presidents Lambaste Pashinyan for Submitting to Baku

Former Artsakh presidents Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan yesterday, in a statement, accused the Pashinyan government of submitting to the wishes of Baku in the ongoing peace process and that the consequences will be fatal for Karabakh Armenians.

The two claimed to have warned officials in Yerevan that they are taking steps questioning the statehood of Artsakh, but to no avail.

“We regret that our warnings did not have a sobering effect. Due to numerous failures, today we are faced with failed negotiations, a disastrous war and now the compulsion to fulfill all the demands and whims of the enemy,” the statement reads.

The former Artsakh presidents lambasted Pashinyan for announcing yesterday that Yerevan recognizes Nagorno Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan.

‘What was voiced by the current Prime Minister of Armenia today, shook the foundations of Armenian statehood violating the obligation to be the defender of the rights of all Armenians,” Ghukasyan and Sahakyan wrote.

“No one has the moral right to decide the future of us and our children. Artsakh did not accept and will not accept the approaches that were presented by the Armenian prime minister and, as it fought before, it will fight now with all possible means for the right to live in dignity in its homeland,” their statement reads.
