Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) reports that units of its border guard service prevented a group of Azerbaijani soldiers from planting an Azerbaijani flag in Armenian territory near the Hakari Bridge at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor earlier today.

One Armenian soldier was wounded in the clash.

The NSS also refuted an earlier Azerbaijani claim that Armenian troops fired on an Azerbaijani checkpoint in the area.

Following today’s incident, the Artsakh government reported that Azerbaijan has banned all humanitarian passenger and cargo transport through the corridor that links Armenia and Artsakh.
