Artsakh Official Says Country Faces Humanitarian Disaster
Artsakh State Minister Adviser Artak Beglaryan today warned that the country has been under total blockade for the last six days ever since Azerbaijan dispatched armored vehicles to a checkpoint it set up along the Lachin Corridor.
Beglaryan, in a statement, said nothing is now getting through to Artsakh, even with the intervention of the Red Cross and Russian peacekeepers.
“Artsakh is rapidly plunging into the abyss of a security and humanitarian disaster, and all states must take responsibility for their share and prevent the impending tragedy, instead of blaming each other,” Beglaryan writes.
He called on Armenia, Russia, the U.S, France, the European Union, the United Nations, and all other actors, and from Armenians all over the world, to exert pressure on Baku to lift the blockade.
