Armenian, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers End Talks in U.S., Further Work on Key Issues Needed
Armenia's Foreign Ministry reports that recent talks in Washington D.C., hosted by the U.S. between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, have "advanced mutual agreement" on a draft to normalize relations between their two countries during the latest round on talks in Washington D.C. this week.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry states the sides agreed to add articles to the draft, but that further work is required to reach a consensus on some key issues.
While in Washington D.C. they met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
Both ministers expressed their appreciation to the U.S. for hosting negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and their commitment to continue their negotiations.
