U.S. Believes Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Deal is Possible
U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller, during a July 10 press briefing, said the U.S. continues to believe a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible.
Miller’s remarks follow recent talks in Washington D.C., hosted by the U.S. between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. While in Washington D.C. Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
Miller avoided answering a reporter’s question whether the U.S. would host further talks between Yerevan and Baku.
