Armenia’s Defense Ministry reports that Azerbaijani troops again fired at workers building a metallurgical plant in the Armenian town of Yeraskh near the border with Azerbaijan’s Nakhijevan enclave.

Azerbaijani gunfire injured two Indian nationals on June 14, prompting members of the EU observer mission in Armenia to visit the site.

On Jul 12, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev criticized Armenia for constructing the plant without its consent, arguing it will pollute the local environment.
