Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister, Diplomats Discuss Karabakh Crisis
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan met with heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia and representatives of international organizations today regarding the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Safaryan, according to his office, noted that the seven-month Azerbaijani blockade of Nagorno Karabakh and the cessation of humanitarian supplies, including through the International Committee of the Red Cross, has led to an acute shortage of food, medicine, fuel and other vital goods.
He noted that the Armenian government has allocated 360 tons of humanitarian aid for shipment to Artsakh. Whether this aid can be shipped to Artsakh given the blockade is another question.
