European Court Gives Azerbaijan Ten Days to Provide News of Detained Artsakh Resident
The European Court of Human Rights has given Azerbaijan ten days to provide information regarding the plight of Artsakh resident Rashid Beglaryan, who was detained by Azerbaijani security forces after he illegally crossed a section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on Tuesday.
According to a statement released by Armenia’s Office of the Representative on International Legal Matters, Azerbaijan is obliged to inform the court about his location, conditions of detention, health, medical care treatment and possible return."
Karabakh authorities claim Beglaryan was “secretly kidnapped” by Azerbaijani forces as he walked towards Armenia through the blocked Lachin Corridor.
