Paris Mayor in Goris with Trucks Carrying Humanitarian Aid for Karabakh

A delegation headed by Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has reached the southern Armenian town of Goris today to provide humanitarian aid to Karabakh.

The delegation arrived in Goris with ten trucks of humanitarian aid provided by Paris, and the regionbs of Ile-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne, Occitanie, and the Loire.

“In Armenia, with elected officials from Paris and other communities. For nine months, 120,000 Armenians in Artsakh, including 30,000 children, have been isolated, starving, deprived of everything. Faced with this humanitarian disaster, we are providing them with emergency aid. There is little time left,” Hidalgo writes in a Twitter post.

Nineteen trucks carrying aid provided by Armenia to Karabakh have been parked at the entrance to the Lachin Corridor for one month. Azerbaijan has refused to allow them to enter the roadway.

On hand to welcome Hildago to Goris were Syunik Province Governor Robert Ghukasyan, Artsakh Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan and Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan.
