An Armenian soldier died from a gunshot wound today in yet unspecified circumstances.

Armenia’s Defense Ministry reports that it’s launched an investigation to the death of Alex Avanesyan at an Armenian military base.

Update: On September 13, the defense ministry reported the soldier committed suicide, saying the investigation continues.
