Josep Borrell, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has announced he’s sending Toivo Klaar, the EU’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus, to the region to report on the aftermath of Azerbaijan’s military operation against the Armenians of Karabakh.

In view of the military operation by #Azerbaijan against Karabakh Armenians, I have decided to send EUSR @ToivoKlaar to the region.

He will report back on the state of play.
