Erdoğan, Aliyev to Meet in Nakhijevan for Talks
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay a one-day visit to Nakhijevan on September 25 and is scheduled to discuss bilateral relations with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The two, according to Turkish NTV, will also discuss recent regional developments including Azerbaijan’s military offensive in Karabakh.
Erdoğan and Aliyev will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Iğdır-Nakhijevan natural gas pipeline and will open the modernized Nakhijevan Military Complex.
The pipeline is intended to supply gas from Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) in Turkey to Nakhijevan, replacing the current gas supply from Iran.
