
Armenian Security Chief, Iranian President Meet in Tehran
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Iran President Ebrahim Raisi met today in Tehran and discussed regional security issues and relations between the two countries.
Grigoryan, on Sunday, met with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Ahmadian.
Ahmadian, according to the Tehran Times, said any geopolitical changes in the Caucasus region will undermine stability and worsen conflicts, underlining the need for concerted efforts to guarantee peace and security in the region.
He suggested that Iran is prepared to set the stage for meetings amongst regional powers.
Ahmadian, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, underlined the Iran’s fundamental policy of closer cooperation and interaction with its neighboring countries. He called for constructive dialogues between regional countries to pave the way for enduring peace and security in the region.
