Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan, during his working visit to Damascus, today met with representatives of the Syrian Armenian community and local church leaders and emphasized the need for joint efforts to overcome the external and security challenges facing Armenia.

Arshakyan’s delegation includes deputies Rustam Bakoyan, Shirak Torosyan and Aren Mkrtchyan.

The meeting was held at the Armenian Embassy in Damascus and was attended by Armenian Ambassador to Syria Tigran Gevorgyan.
