Armenian Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan and UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Regina De Dominicis met in Yerevan today and discussed steps to advance inclusive and pre-school education in the country.

The two also discussed steps to ensure that children forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh are registered in Armenian schools.

Andreasyan said that some 17,000 displaced Artsakh children have been enrolled in schools throughout Armenia.

Andreasyan emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation within the framework of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) program.

(GPE is the largest global fund solely dedicated to transforming education in lower-income countries.)
