Iran has agreed to the opening of the Consulate General of Armenia in Tabriz.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced the news at a press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan today.

Iran opened a Consulate General in Kapan, the capital of Armenia’s southern Syunik Province, on October 21, 2022.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Mirzoyan officially opened the Iranian Consulate in Kapan.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said he hopes the Tabriz Consulate will open in January.
