Armenia's Anti-Corruption Chief, U.S. Offical Meet in Yerevan

Sasun Khachatryan, who heads Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee (ACC), met today in Yerevan with U.S․ Department of State Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption Richard Nephew.

The two, according to the ACC, discussed the Armenian government’s ongoing anti-corruption campaign and Washington’s readiness to assist Armenia in this effort by providing modern information technologies and equipment.

Nephew, who chaired the 10th Conference of the States Parties (COSP) of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in Atlanta, Georgia, last December., noted that active steps should be taken to implement resolutions adopted during the conference.

2,000 government representatives from 160 countries, including Armenia, attended the conference.
