The French Senate is set to debate a motion for a resolution condemning Azerbaijan's September 2023 military offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh and to prevent any further Azerbaijani threats to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.

The resolution also calls for sanctions against Azerbaijan and demands the guarantee of the right of return of displaced Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh.

The resolution, if approved, would call on the French government to demand the immediate release of civilian and military personnel detained by Baku.
