Hrant Dink: 1954-2007
January 19 marks the seventeenth anniversary of the murder of Hrank Dink, a journalist and human rights activist, who was gunned down in broad daylight by a 17-year-old ultranationalist outside the Istanbul offices of the Agos newspaper that he founded.
Dink was editor-in-chief of the Armenian-Turkish weekly newspaper paper that seeks to provide a voice to the Armenian community and create a dialogue between Turks and Armenians.
