Yerevan police arrested three individuals suspected of smuggling US$500,000 worth of cocaine into Armenia.

Custom officials report that a search of a parcel sent from the United States revealed the cocaine.

Law enforcement, claiming to be the shipping company, telephoned the recipient of the parcel and set up a delivery date.

One of the three suspects fled the scene, but was arrested the next day at a Komitas Avenue café.
