Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan and U.N. Assistant Secretary General, Director of the Regional Bureau of Europe and CIS countries of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Ivana Živković met in Yerevan today and discussed the security situation in the South Caucasus and ongoing efforts to normalize relations between Yerevan and Baku.

The two, according to Simonyan’s office, also discussed Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative designed to open transport links in the region and facilitate trade and economic relations among neighboring countries.
