Pashinyan Marks Victory and Peace Day
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan marked May 9, Victory and Peace Day in Armenia, by visiting Yerevan’s Haghtanak (Victory) Park and laying flowers at the Unknown Soldier’s monument.
The holiday celebrates the allied win in WWII, the 1992 Armenian Liberation of Shushi, and the anniversary of the Artsakh Defense Army’s establishment.
Azerbaijan retook the town of Shushi in the 2020 Karabakh War.
