Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II marked Republic Day by calling on Armenians around the world to unite to face the internal and external challenges facing the nation.

Republic Day is a national holiday in Armenia marking the anniversary of the First Armenian Republic in 1918.

“Let's dispel destructive indifference, dispel the atmosphere of enmity and hatred, in order to establish security and peace in our lives with a hopeful and powerful spirit of unity,” reads a statement the church leader released.
