
Armenian President Opens Olympic House in Paris
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan attended today’s opening of the Olympic House of Armenia in Paris, site of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games.
Wishing success to Armenia’s athletes, Khachaturyan said he expected to see the Armenian flag raised in victory at the games.
The Olympic House was opened at the Armenian General Benevolent Union center in Paris.
Arayik Harutyunyan, chief of the Armenian prime minister’s office, promised to build four new sports schools in Armenia.
The Olympic House of Armenia will be open daily from three to eleven. Visitors can enjoy joint viewing of the games, meet famous athletes and purchase paraphernalia to support Armenian athletes.
Also present at the event were Armenian Deputy Education, Science, Culture and Sport Karen Giloyan and Armenian Ambassador to France Hasmik Tolmajian.
