Armenia has welcomed a call made by the U.S., Qatar and Egypt for Israel and Hamas to resume Gaza ceasefire negotiations.

“We hope that tangible results will be recorded during the next discussions, which will alleviate the condition of the affected population," Armenia’s foreign ministry stated in a Twitter post.

Leaders of the three countries, in a joint statement on Thursday, said there were no excuses “from any party for further delay”.

"It is the time to conclude a ceasefire agreement and release hostages and prisoners,” they said.
