A statute depicting Charles Aznavour singing his signature song La Bohème will be installed in Yerevan on May 22, 2025, as the final event to mark the 100th anniversary of the singer, lyricist and actor.

Aznavour, born in Paris on May 22, 1924, first recorded the song in 1965 and it became an international hit soon after its release in 1966.

Sculpture Davit Mianasyan’s work won an open competition launched by the Yerevan Municipality.

Aznavour and French lyricist Jacques Plante co-wrote La Bohème.
