Armenian soldier Edgar Aleksanyan, whose body was found at a military unit yesterday, committed suicide according to the country’s Investigative Committee (IC).

The IC reports Aleksanyan shot himself after being continuously humiliated and beaten by another soldier in his unit.

The solider accused of harassing Aleksanyan has been detained.
