
Armenian Minister, U.N. Official Discuss Youth Development Policy
Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Youth Affairs Felipe Paullier met today in Yerevan and discussed the Armenian government’s programs to develop the potential of young people in the country and their participation in public life.
Paullier is in Armenia to attend the Tenth IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.
The Conference aims to prioritize youth education and employment amid global crises, seeking solutions to prevent lost generations and ensure continuous access to education and job opportunities for all young people.
The Conference is open to the participation of young members of national parliaments and representatives of invited organizations.
Andreasyan, according to her office, spoke about the development of the Youth Policy draft law in Armenia, which will define the principles and goals of the state policy of youth development.
The law seeks regulate relations between young people, young families, youth workers, non-governmental organizations, youth advisory bodies and the state.
