Pashinyan, Trudeau Meet in Paris
The prime ministers of Armena and Canada (Nikol Pashinyan, Justin Trudeau) met today on the sidelines of the 19th summit of the International Organization of Francophonie in Paris and discussed expanding cooperation between their countries and the security situation in the South Caucasus.
Pashinyan, according to his office, described the status of ongoing peace talks with Baku.
Pashinyan emphasized Canada’s support of democratic reforms in Armenia and expressed the hope that this political support will be transformed into the development of economic cooperation.
Trudeau said he welcomed the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project to unblock transportation links in the South Caucasus as a necessary basis for regional peace and security.
