Armenian Apostolic Church Supreme Patriarch Karekin II, during a meeting yesterday in Etchmiadzin with former International Criminal Court (ICC) President Silvia Fernández de Gurmendi, expressed his concerns about the security issues facing Armenia given Azerbaijan’s ongoing expansionist ambitions.

Karekin II, according to his office, expressed his appreciation to Silva Fernandez de Gourmendi for her efforts in the field of justice and the protection of the rights of the children of the Armenian people.

Gourmendi told Karekin II that the purpose of her visit is to provide support to Armenia in the fields of international criminal law and justice, as well as to discuss the expansion of effective cooperation with the ICC.
