British Journalists Spotlight Armenia Wine's "Yerevan" Brand

Paid content

Thanks to its unique range of wines, Armenia Wine Company has been representing the aroma of Armenia in more than fifty countries worldwide for many years.

Parallel to the steady growth of export volumes and the highest international awards, the wines of the Armenia Wine Company record considerable success: they often appear on the pages of international popular magazines and are at the center of attention of wine experts and journalists with an influential audience.

The prestigious JancisRobinson.com magazine recently referred to the best quality wines sold in the British "Booth" stores, among which the author included two wines of the Armenia Wine Company's "Yerevan" line: red dry and white dry.

The article specifically mentions:

YEREVAN RED - Quite a limpid, bright ruby. The scented and pure nose of ripe red cherries and wild strawberries. Red-fruited all the way through on the palate and with a gentle floral, herbal lift. Super-fresh, but the ripeness and juiciness of the fruit are front and center. Fresh, fruity length to boot.

YEREVAN WHITE - Pure, cool nose – mountain herbs, meadow flowers, bramley apples, and quince. Those vibrantly fresh flavors on the palate, too. Mouth-watering, mouth-cleansing. For the price and interest, this is GV.

Speaking about Booth stores, the author Oliver Coleman says:

"The supermarket is possibly best known outside its home by the oft-quoted moniker, ‘the Waitrose of the North’. Their approach to wine is a little different, too. Head of sparkling wines Rachael Machin explained that Booths can be a little more ‘nimble’ in their buying choices and offer a range of more interesting, off-piste (for a supermarket) bottles, as a result. This was certainly borne out at September’s tasting in London, where the 140 wines presented – a range of new and familiar lines from their overall portfolio of 600 – showcased that quality was the order of the day, not necessarily price.

The young and elegant "Yerevan" line did not escape the attention of wine journalist, Professor Jamie Goody:  on his social blog, where he regularly shares his favorite wines and tips, Jamie Goudie shared a selection of wines that impressed him at the "Booth" store, which included Armenia Wine Company's "Yerevan" red and white wines.

Booth

A chain of stores in the North of England, selling only premium, well-known products. The network opened in 1847 and received the "sui generis-unique" characteristic. The outlets are highly trusted by both locals and guests due to their high-quality service and careful selection of products. The British chain "Booth" pays special attention to the range of alcoholic beverages. Each drink, before reaching the sales stage, undergoes a thorough study by several circles: production technology, product quality, international medals, and design are checked. If it meets the standards of the chain, only after several professional tastings, the drink is presented in the network.

It is noteworthy that Armenian wine is highly appreciated, especially by wine experts. Armenia Wine Company's "Takar" and "Yerevan" lines have been presented in England since 2017.
