Yervand Manaryan Statue Unveiled in Yerevan

A statue dedicated to beloved artist, actor and director Yervand Manaryan was unveiled today outside Yerevan’s National Puppet Theater.

Yervand Manaryan (1924-2020) was born in Iran. His family repatriated to Soviet Armenia in 1946.

Manaryan was bestowed the Honored Artist of Armenia award in 2003 and was recognized as an Honorary Citizen of Yerevan in 2019.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan attended the unveiling.
