On September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack on Nagorno Karabakh following a nine-month blockade of the region. Civilian settlements in Artsakh were targeted along with military positions, resulting in 223 deaths, including twenty civilians, six of whom were minors.
