Armenia Appoints New Internal Affairs Minister
Arpineh Sargsyan has been appointed Armenia’s new Minister of Internal Affairs, replacing Vahe Ghazaryan who resigned two days ago.
Sargsyan had been serving as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. She’s a graduate student at Yerevan State University’s law faculty and preparing her doctoral thesis.
The ministry supervises the Migration and Citizenship Service, the Police, and the country’s Rescue Service.
