Polish President in Armenia on Official Visit
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan today welcomed Polish Andrzej Duda to Yerevan.
Later, an official dinner was held at the Presidential Residence of Armenia in honor of Duda who is on an official visit to the country.
The two are said to have discussed historical, trade, and cultural relations, as well as other areas of cooperation.
Khachaturyan, at a press conference, thanked Poland for the kind and hospitable attitude shown towards the Armenian community.
The Armenian president said several cooperation agreements had been reached during Duda’s visit, noting that “great untapped cooperation potential” remains.
“My esteemed colleague and I also touched upon the developments in the South Caucasus, as well as the wider European region, and possible ways to solve existing problems,” Khachaturyan said.
Duda, in a meeting with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, expressed his country's support for Armenia expanding relations with the EU and implementing democratic reforms, and welcomed the launch of visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia.
