Armenian, Finnish Foreign Ministers Meet in Helsinki
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan today, in Helsinki, met with his Finnish counterpart Elina Valtonen and discussed prospects to expand multi-sector cooperation between their two countries.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, thanked Valtonen for Finland’s support to strengthen democratic institutions in Armenia. They also referred to the Armenia-EU cooperation.
Earlier, Mirzoyan met with Finland Parliament President Jussi Halla-aho and discussed current steps to expand political dialogue between the two countries, especially interparliamentary ties.
The two, according to Mirzoyan’s office, stressed an interest in strengthening cooperation within the framework of the European Union.
They also discussed regional issues and negotiations to normalize relations between Yerevan and Baku.
