Mirzoyan Says Lavrov Meeting Was “Sincere and Constructive”
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan described his January 21 meeting in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov as “sincere and constructive”, noting the two discussed a wide range of issues including peace in the South Caucasus.
Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia’s economic ties with Russia, including its membership in the Moscow backed Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), remains a primary pillar of Armenia-Russia cooperation.
Mirzoyan added that Moscow supports Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” project designed to unblock economic and transport links in the South Caucasus based on respecting the sovereignty and jurisdiction of all states.
