Armenia's Arakots Monastery Makes Endangered Sites Shortlist
The 13th century Arakelots Monastery and Settlement in Armenia’s northern Tavush Province is one of the fourteen European monuments and heritage sites shortlisted for this year’s edition of the 7 Most Endangered Programme by Europa Nostra, the leading European heritage civil society network, and the European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute.
Since its launch in 2013, the program has become a leading civil society initiative dedicated to safeguarding Europe’s endangered heritage, acting as advocate and catalyst for rallying the necessary public and private support, including funding.
