Armenia, the Netherlands Sign Strategic Partnership Declaration

The foreign ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands (Ararat Mirzoyan, Caspar Veldkamp) signed a Joint Strategic Partnership Declaration that aims to enhance  political dialogue between their two countries, grounded in mutual respect and shared values, including democracy, rule of law and human rights.

The Declaration, according to a text provided by Mirzoyan’s office, stresses that bolstering economic cooperation is a pillar of the new strategic partnership and that the two countries will strive to expand trade, investment, and business partnerships.

The Declaration states the two countries will explore opportunities to strengthen enhanced security cooperation, including cyber security.

Armenia and the Netherlands will work together to strengthen people-to-people contacts, including through youth participation.

Efforts will continue to achieve a fair and lasting peace in the South Caucasus, based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, the non-use of force or threat of force, and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders.
