
Pashinyan, Iranian Foreign Minister Discuss Expanding Relations
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today, in Yerevan, hosted a delegation led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi who is on an official visit to Armenia.
Pashinyan, according to his office, emphasized that relations between Armenia and Iran are based on genuine interests, an important basis and guarantee for the further development and expansion of relations.
Araghchi thanked Pashinyan for the warm welcome to Armena and conveyed the heartfelt greetings of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Araghchi emphasized Iran's continued support for the territorial integrity of Armenia and emphasized the importance of the inviolability of existing borders in the region.
The sides touched upon the implementation of new projects between Armenia and Iran in the economic sphere, including infrastructure and energy, and exchanged views on the need of signing the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
