
Armenia to Open Embassy in Oman
Armenia will open an embassy in the Gulf Arab state of Oman at an estimated cost of AMD 134 million (US$346,000).
The Armenian Foreign Ministry cites dynamic growth between the two countries as a justification for the embassy.
In the first half of 2023, goods worth $9,000s were exported from Armenia to Oman, and $197,000 were imported. In the first half of 2024, Armenia exported goods worth $33,000 to Oman and imported goods worth $260,000 from Oman.
2,235 tourists from Oman came to Armenia in 2024, staying an average of six days.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Sultanate of Oman were established on July 7, 1992.
