
Armenian Foreign Minister, European Commission Official Discuss Expanding Partnership
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas (High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission) met in Brussels on May 14 and discussed prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, as well as joint work aimed at expanding cooperation in specific areas.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, emphasized that the fundamental principles of democracy and peace are at the heart of the Armenia-EU partnership, and because of joint efforts, tangible results have been achieved.
The two exchanged views on international and regional developments and emphasized the importance of developing strong and like-minded partnerships in the current period of uncertainty.
In the context of efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus, the key importance of signing the Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was emphasized.
