Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan discussed seismic safety when he met Wang Kun, Director General of the Earthquake Administration of the People's Republic of China, today in Yerevan.

Khachaturyan, according to his office, praised Armenia’s five-year cooperation with China in the field of seismic research.

The two discussed expanding such cooperation, including earthquake predictability, and further research into Armenia’s subsoil, not only in terms of seismology, but also in terms of the development of the economy, mining industry and infrastructure.
