Abu Dhabi: Pashinyan, Aliyev Agree to Continue Peace Talks
The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan reached no breakthrough today in Abu Dhabi during talks to normalize relations between their two countries.
Instead, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev agreed to continue such talks, noting that it’s the most effective format to address all outstanding issues.
The two leaders, according to Pashinyan’s office, thanked UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for organizing the meeting.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement, reported that the parties agreed to pursue confidence building measures between the two countries and continue the border delimitation process.
