Team Armenia Ranks 54th at International Math Olympiad

Students from Armenia won three bronze medals and three certificates of merit at the International Mathematical Olympiad  (IMO) that ended on July 20 in Australia.

The IMO is the largest and most prestigious of all the international Olympiads, having grown from seven countries to over a hundred each year. 

630 students from 110 countries participated in the Olympiad.

The team from China came in first place, followed by the U.S., Republic of Korea, Japan and Poland. Armenia’s team ranked 54th.

Turkey ranked tenth, Iran (12th), and Azerbaijan came in 74th. Georgia came in 63rd.

The team from Armenia won five bronze medals and one certificate of merit in 2024, coming in at 38th place.
